It’s not like there aren’t enough things to keep you and the kids busy during a family trip to Singapore but if you are looking for a place to spend a stress-free half-a-day with young kids, head over to Kids Stop Singapore.
Categorised as an “edutainment centre”, Kids Stop Singapore is a fantastic mix of science centre, role play and an indoor playground. All the exhibits are intuitive and require little reading, hence suitable for the littlest of science enthusiasts.

Role play at Kids Stop
If you have kids that are still too young for Kidzania, here they can try out role play as pilots, performers in a tv-show or as hosts in a radio programme.

I really hope that when the science centre in KL reopens it will be something like this! It’s a perfect place to let toddlers run around, excavate dinosaur bones in a sand pit or play shop for as long as they want.

There is enough to do for even a bit older kids – other than the role play and science exhibitions, my 4 and 6 year olds had a blast monkeying around in this climbing frame. There is also an omni-theatre showing IMAX films.

Is this similar to Kidzania?
A bit: there are many role play areas, but without the earning and spending money, more like free play in a set. Also parents can tag along, unlike in Kidzania. I think the role play is geared for younger kids than Kidzania. We really enjoyed the mix of easy science exhibits and play!
